The IC694ALG223 is an RX3i Analog Current Input module with 16 channels by GE Fanuc Emerson. There are three ranges available for configuration on the IC694ALG223, and they are as follows: 4 to 20 milliamperes, 0 to 20 milliamperes, and 4 to 20 milliamperes Enhanced. There are high and low alarm limits available for all ranges on this module. The hardware can also report module status and external power supply status to the Central Processing Unit (CPU) using assigned program reference addresses. It can also be installed in any I/O slot in an RX3i system. Power consumption for the IC694ALG223 is 120 milliamperes from the 5 Volt DC bus on the PLC backplane. There is an additional requirement of 65 milliamperes plus current loop currents from a user-supplied +24 Volt DC supply.

Specifications for the IC694ALG223 include 1 to 16 selectable channels that are single-ended, three current ranges as referred to previously, and a factory calibration of 4 µA per count on the 4 to 20 milliampere range and 5 µA per count on the 0 to 20 milliampere and 4 to 20 milliampere Enhanced range. Update rate for all 16 channels is 13 milliseconds and resolutions are 4 µA (4 µA/bit) for the 4-20 milliampere range and 5 µA (5 µA/bit) for the 0-20 and 4-20 Enhanced ranges. Absolute accuracy is +/- 0.25% of full scale at 25 degrees Celsius and +/- 0.5% of full scale over the specified temperature range where operation can commence. Field to backplane and frame ground isolation is 250 Volts AC continuous, 1500 Volts AC for 1 minute. The IC694ALG223 has a cross-channel rejection of > 80 decibels from DC to 1 Kilohertz and input impedance is 250 Ohms. This hardware has an external supply voltage range and ripple of 20 to 30 Volts DC and 10%, respectively.

The IC694ALG223 analog current input module is manufactured by GE Fanuc, is part of the RX3i PacSystems series. This input module features sixteen single-ended input channels.
