GE Fanuc designed and manufactured the IC694MDL241 discrete input module with a supply voltage of 24 volts alternating current (AC) / direct current (DC). The GE Fanuc IC694MDL241 has 16-point C positive/negative logic input. The IC694MDL241 module contains one group of 16 different input points. It also includes a power input terminal. The power terminal is shared with other connected devices. Both the alternating current and the direct current field inputs can be used with this module.
Thanks to its advanced features, the IC694MDL241 module can either be wired for positive logic or negative logic. Various input devices can be paired with this discrete power module to match its input characteristics. There are many advanced features in this module. This device includes limit switches, pushbuttons, and proximity switches. The delay time for these switches is fairly low. As soon as you enter an input, the input status table will show a logic 1 in the current state (percent I).
To operate using alternate current input devices, such as this one, users should supply the power. However, the 24 volts backplane supply, on the other hand, can power direct current inputs. The ON/OFF status is displayed on the embedded LEDs. The LEDs are located in 16 different locations. The On status is indicated by green LEDs, and when the green LEDs are turned off, it indicates that the module is turned Off. The IC694MDL241 module has a low voltage, as shown by the blue bands on the label. All I/O slots on the Rx3i system are compatible with this module.
