Part number IC694MDL658 is a input only module, manufactured by Emerson - GE Fanuc. This device is part of the IC694 product series for applications in an RX3i PacSystem rack system. These RX3i systems allow installation of multiple I/O modules with various voltages and current capacities. Independently from the I/O variety chosen, the RX3i system constitutes of interfaces with high speed that provide fast and continuous transfer of data. The RX3i system of I/O modules is highly scalable, and it can be expanded by connecting to additional racks.

The IC694MDL658 device is a DC voltage discrete input only unit. This GE Fanuc device is equipped with thirty-two (32) inputs per module, in which these inputs are divided into four (4) groups of eight (8) inputs. The input points have a response time rated at two (2) milliseconds, which is valid for both On and Off activity. The input device has a supply voltage of 48 volts DC, as the unit can accept fluctuations in the range of 40 to 60 volts DC. The minimum required supply voltage for On is 34 volts DC. This module has an input current rating of 1.7 milliamperes at 48 volts direct current (DC). The backplane current consumption of the module is 195 milliamperes, estimated at 5 volts DC. This GE Fanuc device can be operated in hazardous environments of type Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D. This discrete input voltage unit can be installed either on panel or in a DIN rail.
