The GE Fanuc Emerson IC698ETM001 is a TCP/IP Ethernet interface module that can be employed for the PACSystems* RX7i. The IC698ETM001 offers three (3) communication ports which are two 10BaseT / 100BaseTX with 8-pin female RJ-45 connector for communication between Ethernet LAN and PLC and an RS-232 with 9-pin female D-connector and a data rate of 115200 bits per second. The IC698ETM001 ports offer a direct link to BaseT repeater or hub network without the need of an external transceiver. The IC698ETM001 firmware can be loaded and upgraded from PC through the RS-232 serial port. The IC698ETM001 provides an Ethernet processor speed of 200 megahertz. The IC698ETM001 can be inserted directly in the rack and includes flash memory to save and store firmware and protocols.

The IC698ETM001 provides diagnostic and station management to increase the performance and simplify troubleshooting. The IC698ETM001 supports SRTP client and connectivity with Ethernet LAN ports and IEEE. The IC698ETM001 offers high-efficiency TCP/IP communication employing SRTP and exchanges data employing logic and configuration-based EGD through four-layer TCP/IP stack. The IC698ETM001 senses, detects, and selects automatically the network port in the process. The IC698ETM001 requires a current of 1.5 Amperes at a voltage of 5 Volts DC and includes a restart pushbutton and five (5) LED indicators on the faceplate to show the module and communication status. The IC698ETM001 contains an individual MAC address which is labeled on the Ethernet board and offers one (1) IP address. The IC698ETM001 weighs approximately 340 grams (0.75 pounds) while shipping and operates at zero (0) to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) for industrial applications.

These LEDs are used for displaying statuses such as LAN online, Module OK, 100, Link P1, and Link P2.
