The GE IC693PBM200 is a master module for Profibus DP communication networks that offers the possibility to an IC693 PLC to exchange I/O data from a Profibus DP network. The IC693PBM200 can operate in sync and freeze modes. The IC693PBM200 draws a current rating of 450 milliamperes at a voltage of +5 Volts DC. The IC693PBM200 can be installed in any slot of Series 90-30 baseplate and shouldn’t be mounted in slot 1 of a modular CPU baseplate. The IC693PBM200 includes a service port which permits updating the master module firmware. The IC693PBM200 supports a data rate range from 9600 bauds to 12 mega bauds and up to 125 DP slaves. The IC693PBM200 provides for each slave 244 bytes input and 244 bytes output.

The IC693PBM200 includes LED indicators that indicate the communication status for both the Profibus-compliant com and sys. The IC693PBM200 provides an input data limit of 3,972 bytes and an output data limit of 3,972 bytes. The IC693PBM200 requires ME Logic Developer PLC programming software version 3.0 or later to program and configure this master module. The IC693PBM200 organizes bits in order of bus address. The IC693PBM200 slave status location is by default set to 128 points. The IC693PBM200 enables the clear mode when the PLC is not checking I/O points and can be stored at -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit).
