The Horner HE693SNPCBL is an SNP to RS-232 adapter that is employed in industrial applications. The device has two connectors. The adapter has a single connector on each side. This cable includes a 15-pin SNP right angle connector on the first end that requires less clearance space in front of an I/O module or a PLC and facilitates cable routing. This SNP port can be inserted directly into the programmer port of the PLC on the rack power supply of the CPU. The HE693SNPCBL includes also a 9-pin RS-232 connector on the second end. This serial connector can be connected to any RS-232 module or device. The SNP device can be directly supplied from the programming port with a maximum current of 100 milliamperes at a voltage of 5 volts DC.

The HE693SNPCBL adapter includes two green LED indicators that show the communication status during the data transfer process. The first LED indicator is the “RX” LED and the second one is the “TX” LED indicator. This SNP adapter can be employed with IBM personal computers by respecting a specific wiring diagram. This device can operate at an altitude of up to 1000 meters (3300 feet) without deterioration. The adapter can be stored at a temperature from -40 degrees to 70 degrees Celsius (-40 degrees to 158 degrees Fahrenheit) in a safe environment that is free from condensation or corrosive material.
