The Allen Bradley 440L-R4K0960YD features the GuardShield Remote Teach. The protective height of this GuardShield receiver is nine hundred and sixty (960) millimeters. For aligning the GuardShield, operators are provided with a mounting bracket and an external laser. Both the receiver, part number 440L-R4K0960YD, and the transmitter, part number 440L-T4K0960YD, are essential parts of the GuardShield safety light curtain. Both the receiver and the transmitter come with the same protective height and resolution ratings. This device has a rated resolution of 30 millimeters. This receiver has a total of 48 beams. Part number 440L-R4K0960YD requires a voltage rating of +24 volts DC (direct current) to operate properly.

Just like every other receiver and transmitter, the 440L-R4K0960YD, and the 440L-T4K0960YD come with optical synchronization. For establishing a connection, users do not need any electrical connection between the receiver and the transmitter. The 440L-R4K0960YD comes with two (2) safety outputs: the first being the output signal switching devices, and the other being a non-safety auxiliary output. The switching capacity of the receiver is five hundred (500) milliamperes. The receiver and the transmitter must be connected in such a fashion that any hazard gets picked by only the protective field on the light curtain. The yellow indicator will light up when the interlock restart mode is activated. 

The Allen Bradley 440L-R4K0960YD hosts the DIP switch settings menu, which is required to activate the floating blanking mode. Users need to use the default screwdriver to open the receiver's door.  On top of the cascading receiver, you must use a termination plug.
