It is part of the Series One product series allowing the user to develop a control system using the familiar ladder diagram logic approach. There are two options available for this series of input devices, which includes a device with 8 inputs or 16 inputs, which would be divided into 2 groups of 8 inputs. The IC610MDL102 module has a 16-point input that can be used in applications with some widely used devices as push buttons, limit or selector switches, and relay contacts. This module is inserted into slots in the racks, with up to 4 modules in a 5-slot rack or 9 modules in a 10-slot rack, in case that is used with the CPU, or up to 5 modules in a 5-slot rack and 10 modules in a 10-slot rack in case that is used as expansion. It operates with 24 volts DC power, supplied from the rack and is used to sense the inputs’ status.
This GE Fanuc 16-point input module has screw terminals with a removable terminal board that is located in front of the module. This terminal board can be easily removed without removing the field wiring, which allows modules to be changed rapidly. Each of these terminals is capable of accommodating one (1) AWG Number 12 and two (2) AWG Number 14 standard wires. For safety precaution, there is one (1) plastic cover over the terminals and there is an insert included with the covers to record circuit identification.
